July was not only the start of Runaway Indie but the beginning of our new adventure as Mr. and Mrs.
We we're so happy to find the Smog Shoppe , a little piece of greenery in the
middle of Los Angeles, a place with vintage appeal and urban accents. I was equally as excited to find my wedding dress, created by Saldana Vintage, which was custom made with every detail I had envisioned. Craig + I wanted to keep our wedding day whimsical, rustic + authentic. We actually created the wedding backdrop, celestial decor, and neon signs ourselves! It comes as no surprise that we love antiquing + finding old treasures and wanted our guests to feel like they were at home with family + friends. Thanks to Jorge Macias Photography + Meaghan Brianne Photo (desert shoot) for sharing the photos!

My advice for anyone planning a wedding is to just go with the flow! I'm so glad I started all my DIY projects early and planned ahead, then again I had a year to do so! My husband and father built our wedding backdrop while my mother and sisters helped with all the decor projects. I'm lucky to have a village, my mother and friends helped to setup and coordinate everything that day, taking all my notes and plans and going the extra mile to make everything perfect. I truly think that if you have the time and help you can do things piece by piece without a lot of stress. And I really didn’t need a planner because in my career I’m a creator and these kinds of things come naturally.

We also had the most amazing bridal party is the world, I realize I'm biased, but damn was it a BLAST!
